nardinis & writers block

I didn't quite get around to the "letter writing in the back garden with headphones" I had been planning. After I got off the internet I checked my mobile and lo and behold I had a text from Mezie. I love that she has use of a mobile just now!! I'm a text hore.

Anyway I ended up going round to her bit after lunch and we headed up the coast to Largs. This was my mums fault since she happened to mention Largs and that got me craving Nardini's ice cream - which they sell in Largs obviously!

So off we toddled. Normally when I have been there with my parents my dad always parks at the marina before you get into the town itself and then we just walk in along the promenade.

But yesterday was apparently some kind of sailing championship so we couldn't find a space at the marina and had to go into town and eventually got parked up some side street.

Its well seen we don't normally get summers like this. I think everyone is so scared the nice weather is suddenly going to disappear that they spend every sunny minute as near to a beach/shore as they can get. The place was heaving but still it was nice for a change and I got my ice cream - 1 scoop of strawberry and 1 scoop of mint choc chip :)

I also got some metallic purple nail varnish in Superdrug cos I decided it would look really cool with my t-shirt [which had a purple motif on it], my amethyst [and silver] ring and my six purple beaded bracelets. And it did! I now have 20 purple nails.

Mezie keeps on at me to write a book. I mentioned something about when P asked me one day if I had been working on my tan [hahahahahaha] and I had responded that I had just been working on my freckles.

"see! see! you should write a book. That was funny. You could totally write one of those chick flick books or whatever you call them."

"no I couldn't. I would never come up with a plot and characters. I have no imagination"

"oh I could do that bit. But you would be so good at doing the dialogue. The way you write you diary [which she has read a total of two times.. which entries I have no idea..], its just like that. you should do it!"

She's not going to let this drop. I mean just because I said one slightly funny thing ONE time does not a funny dialogue writer make.
