tea for two and a bad heir day

Well achieve quite as much yesterday as I did the day before but I did go swimming and do my 32 lengths plus I washed my hat all ready for work on Saturday.

In the end I gave up on the Dean Kontz book I had been reading as really I've never much liked short stories the same and I was keen to get into the wendy Holden book I had gotten out of the library. "Bad Heir Day" is the only one of her 4 books that I don't own and hadn't read so when I saw it in the library I thought it was time I did.

I started it about 12.30-ish when I was eating lunch and finished it after tea time so not bad going!!! It was just as good and funny as her other books and I was actually in serious stitches at one point near the end of the book. I just kept thinking that was my "9 minutes on a rowing machine" eqivalency! Although actually it could have been nearer 27 minutes!!

I'm now starting "Tea for Two.. with no cups" by Polly Benge which is a travelogue type book so we'll see how that goes. I'll not be able to sit reading all day today though as I'm playing badminton this afternoon. Woohoo.

Tomorrow I have to take my car in to get the tires changed so I will have to try and resist the urge to go shopping while I wait for it to get done.

Although I do need a new umbrella since my current one doesn't stay up anymore...
