love, lust, breakups, clumsiness and a sore head

Since I have come home from work I have had a long soak in the bath, started a new book - Angels by Marian Keyes - and sent an alarming long text message to Mezie.

Which I am soon to follow up with a long winded email detailing all my stupid work anecdotes.

But before I do that - hilights and lolights of my day:

++ P was back. That had the smile on my face pretty quickly! He told me at one point that if he had seen me even one night, his holidays would have been much better. As it was they were the worst he'd ever had. But I got a lot of smiles. he made me go all flustered so that I kept throwing packets of mince over the belt instead of onto it and then was walking along beside him with him telling me he was alright now he had seen me, when I realised I had meant to stop at line 8 to take the burst packets back that I was still carrying. Which amused him greatly when I suddenly turned round and asked "where am I going?!?" and retreated back where I was meant to be.

++ I chucked Bin Man, one of my 4 boyfriends so I am now down to 3! It was due to him trying to beat me up. I won't be doing with domestic violence! He was most apologetic but I told him thats me and him by..

++ I slightly lost it mid way through the day due to the oxygen levels on one particular production line being all crazy. They suddenly went down and then seemed alright but next check they had gone away down again. This happened a couple of times then they called the engineers [who are really pretentious electricians] who are led by the incredibly irritating Stevie D who like to think he looks like George Clooney - my arse - and antagonises me to the point that if I was ever REALLLLY going to headbutt anyone and break their nose on purpose it would be him. This whole oxygen crisis went on for about 3 hours so I was bit fed up and swearing rather uncharateristically frequently.

++ There was a discussion at last teabreak about speaking German which had me Old D & Tucks giving our VAST knowledge of the German language. Tucks started saying "ich leibe dich, ich leibe dich" as apparently it was the only thing he could remember. He was mostly looking at me when he said it although not in a direct way, more like I happened to be listening! But he was like "I forget what it means though..."

"it means I love you"

"oh. [look of panic when he realises he was saying that in my general direction] I was talking to Stevie!!"

"uh-huh. thats SOOO much better"

"but I don't love him in the way that you think"

"thats ok then!"

That was rather funny.

++ not so funny, last thing Hugh had gone away so I went in to the chill cos I had nothing else to do [true but lets face it, I had ulterior motives!]. I was checking a pallette and del & Pj were standing around it. PJ must have been pumping up the pallette shifter and just as I bent down to write QC on the label he let the handle go [not deliberatley, he was talking to Del and not paying attention] and it hit me on the side of the head. Well it was quite funny but bloody sore as well. Stu and P came back in the chill at that point and PJ told them what happened and then said "sorry!" to me. P was like "you will be!" Bless him. He;s my knight in a blue chill suit..

++ Mad S showed up [and so far hasn't gotten the sack] but Ali G didn't. Maybe one day soon I'll manage to pick them both up on the same day!

++ since the mince lines got away an hour early I thought Mad S would just get a lift with Old D or something. But as I saw him going out the chill he was like "see you outside". I was saying "but I won't be finished for another hour.." [in a "please don't wait for me, you're weird and I don't want to have to go through the town to drop you off" way] and he just said something about it only being 40 minutes to finishing time before walking out the door with me shouting "oh fuckkkkk OFF" at noone in particular. Some of the guys looked a bit amused and P turned round and said "got major competition there!"

urgh. I get enough of those kind of comments from Tucks!

I think that was all that really happened today. It was a kind of up and down day, rather like those annoying oxygen levels. Thank crunchie I'm in the chill tomorrow.
