shopaholics go to Glasgow
Glasgow is a bad bad bad evil place.
Well if you have issues with shopping it is. We all know I rather like shopping and Glasgow has MUCH better shops than Ayr.
First stop today was the second hand CD place where I ended up with Jewel [sounding good so far which is a relief as I don't know her stuff and had no idea if I would like it..], Jeff Buckley and Turin Brakes.
Quick stop in the Cutie Shop for some stationery. It was a Xmas present. Mostly.
Then it was off to Lush. Just the smell of that shop makes me want to move in permanently. I managed to resist the urge to COMPLETELY splurge and just got a few bath bombs [some are for my mum for Xmas though] and Buffy the Backside Slayer. I liked the name. Plus I read somewhere that it is actually good stuff. And apparently Ross Kemp has bought and John Malkovich. So if its good enough for Grant Mitchell its good enough for me.
The only bad thing about Lush is their nice paper bags aren't so nice in crappy Glasgow rain. They fall to bits.
Pigged out on lunch at the Counting House and managed to refrain from buying much else bar a bottle of ginger. Unfortunately it looks like a trip to Braehead & Ikea may be on the cards for next week as Mezie didn't get ANY presents at all. As she commented, how things have changed from when we were younger. I never used to buy anything and she was the one always with bags of clothes and stuff.
And not only did she not buy anything, she had to listen to me drone on all day about various things P has said in the last week or so and what Old Tam said about us and all the other daft work related stories. I think she has images in her head of the people I talk about. Although with Old Tam I did tell her he is the spitting image of that dodgy bloke that used to be in the Bill - DS Beech or whatever he was called. So she definitely has an image of him!
Hmm. But *I* had a fun day anyway!! :)
